A Story That Speaks the Language of Love, Even When Words Fall Short.
Discover More Than Words, a beautifully written children’s book that gently explores the deep connection between a horse and an autistic boy, showing that the strongest bonds don’t always need to be spoken.

Not every child speaks the language of words. Some speak through looks, laughter, movement… and silence.
If you’re a parent, sibling, teacher, or caregiver of a child on the spectrum, More Than Words will feel like a warm hug, a reminder that love isn’t always loud, but it’s always present.
This 9" x 9" picture book is perfect for reading with young children and opening conversations about autism, acceptance, and connection.

For Some Families, Connection
Doesn't Come In Words.

If you're raising a child on the spectrum, you know the ache of wanting to hear “I love you”, and learn that love can be expressed in a hundred other ways.
The world often overlooks these kids. We expect eye contact, hugs on command, perfect conversations. But your child is teaching you that love can be quieter… deeper… and more powerful than words.
This book was written for you—and for every parent who has ever translated a glance, a gesture, or a moment of calm into something sacred.

About Shary Taylor Gentry

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania four minutes before her sister, Shary Taylor Gentry grew up on the West Coast of Florida, where she met her husband, John, in high school. Initially, he found her bookish but took notice after she asked him to light her bunsen burner in chemistry class. Shary taught traditional, gifted, and learning-disabled middle and high school students in both rural and urban settings in North Carolina and Texas. Her most interesting student is her adult son, Mark, who is on the autism spectrum, and her most inspiring teacher is her daughter, Ali, Harvard-trained lawyer and disability rights advocate. Mark and Ali inspire Shary to tell stories that matter.
